Emotron FDU regulates flow and pressure by continuously adapting motor speed. No energy wasted and no unnecessary equipment wear. A sleep function further reduces energy consumption by pausing the motor when it is not needed to be run. An automatic pump rinsing function increases efficiency. User-friendly and reliable operation
Operation parameters can be set in your own process units – m3/min, bar, Pascal etc. – making monitoring easier and more reliable. The removable control panel has a copy function for transferring settings to other Emotron FDU units. You can switch between local and remote control by the push of a key on the control panel. The virtual connection of logical functions, comparators and timers means no cables or external I/Os are required.

EMOTRON VSS - AC Drives Small yet powerful
EMOTRON VSS is a multipurpose AC drive, packed with features to meet application requirements. VSS is a cost-effective, easy to install and easy to use drive for the single phase supply system in a challenging industrial environment. VSS series meets users’ needs and runs a variety of applications such as packaging, wood working, pumps, blowers, mixers and other machineries. Available in IP20, within the 0.4-2.2 kW, Single phase 220V.
Emotron VSS series is ideal for machineries running on a single phase supply, for better control and higher reliability.
VSS drives have a host of features to meet the demand of a variety of applications. The sensorless vector control algorithm enables it to achieve speed control accuracy of up to 0.2%, and a starting torque of 180% at 0.25Hz. The Emotron VSS series is rated as standard for heavy duty, making it optimal for demanding applications.
Features of VSS include programmable acceleration and deceleration curves, PID control, 16 programmable speeds, torque boost, DC brake, jog frequency, speed search, over excitation brake, torque control, separated V/f control and many more.
This drive also has a range of readymade application macros which simplify commissioning work and reduce the need for external controllers. In addition to logic functions such as timers and comparators, Emotron VSS has multi-speed control, wobbulation control and length count functions.
VSS is available in power ratings of 0.4kW to 2.2kW for single phase, 220V in IP20 design.
EMOTRON VSS 10/30-AC Drives Optimized for small powers
Although small in size, our new Emotron VS10 and VS30 drives are equipped with several advanced features. The compact format offers flexible installation and the user-friendly set-up means your system will be operational in no time.
Emotron VS10 and VS30 offer reliable and cost-efficient operation of your pumps, fans and compressors as well as constant torque applications. The complete series covers motors in the power range of 0.25 - 7.5 kW.

Flexibility begins with the compact bookshelf design format, which makes the units easy to install. Systems using the VS10/VS30 are set up quickly, ready to deliver smooth and cost-effective control of your application.
For simplicity, there is a built-in PID controller for process control, and the units have efficiency class IE2 in accordance with EN 50598-2 (from the Ecodesign Directive). Robust motor control is assured thanks to sensor-less vector control. The package can also be enhanced with an optional hot-pluggable control panel.
The VS10 range covers nominal ratings of 0.25-2.2 kW (1-phase 230V). The larger VS30 spans 0.37-7.5 kW (two series; 1/3-phase 230V, 3-phase 400/480 V). The smallest of these IP20-rated units are 60 x 155 x 130 mm, while the largest are only 120 x 275 x 130 mm..

Options add functionality
A number of options let you customise the functionality of the Emotron VFX and fully utilise the product according to your needs. Up to four different options can be combined.
Crane control
A crane I/O expansion board offers efficient hoist and travel drive, and a safety system which activates the mechanical brakes should dangerous loads be detected. It also provides a load-dependant, field weakening function for hoist drives.
Shorter braking time
For short braking time or continuous braking, chopper is available as a factory-installed option. It is used in combination with brake resistors and is dimensioned according to the specific application demand.
Communication
Communication options include fieldbus communication via Profibus and DeviceNet, CANopen, Industrial Ethernet communication via Modbus/TCP, EtherCAT and Profinet, and serial communication via RS232 or RS485 using Modbus RTU protocol.
Motor protection
PTC and PT100 sensors can be connected to a monitor and protect motor temperature and give process feedback without using a transmitter.
Encoder
A HTL or TTL pulse encoder can be connected for more accurate speed control or for increased safety through deviation control in crane applications.
Safe stop
This option board offers protection from unexpected start during mechanical maintenance, in accordance to the standards IEC 62061 SIL2 and ISO 13849. No contactor is required.
Liquid cooling
Units from 90 A can be provided with liquid cooling. This allows you to reduce operating and maintenance costs, and the cabinet can have a protection class higher than IP54.
EMC protection
A 1st environment category C2 EMC filter is available as a factory-mounted option.
Reduced harmonic distortions
A 12-pulse rectifier offers cost-efficient reduction of harmonic current distortions. It reduces power losses in equipment such as transformers and conductors, and eliminates the need to over-dimension these components.
IP21 Top cover
If units are wall mounted in electrical room, a top cover drip protection is available for IP 20 units 11-132 kW.

Trouble-free operation
Emotron AFE drives produce extremely low harmonic distortions. They provide genuine unity power factor, and offer the possibility of reactive power compensation. The drives are non-sensitive to voltage dips or harmonics from other equipment. Voltage boosting assures full motor power in case of mains voltage fluctuations.
Low harmonic distortions
Emotron Low harmonic drives produce typically less than THDI 5% compared to 30-50% in conventional drives, thereby fulfilling the IEEE-519 standard. Reduced power losses eliminate the need to over dimension cables and transformers. Lower distortions also cause fewer malfunctions in other electronic equipment.
Regenerative braking
Emotron Regenerative drives, in addition to low harmonic distortions, offer considerable energy savings by feeding the braking energy back to the mains in applications such as cranes and centrifuges. The drives are rated for four quadrant operation with 100% power in both directions ensuring continuous full braking power.
Trouble-free operation

Emotron CDX is optimized for dynamic applications such as cranes, crushers, mills saws and extruders.

The Emotron CDU/CDX is well suited to harsh environments. The AC drive is IP55 certified, shock and vibration proof and can be fitted with a built-in EMC-filter category C1. It has a built-in PTC thermistor and its own cooling system, thermally independent from the motor’s cooling system.
Protection from damage and downtime
A patented monitoring function immediately detects any deviation from normal load, across the entire speed range. This allows for preventive action, if the pump is at risk of running dry, a pipe is blocked or the crusher is jammed.
